Parafrasredovsining

Under studieresan till Venedig får eleverna en uppgift att välja ut ett konstverk för att göra en parafras.En parafras är en omskrivning, omdiktning eller bearbetning av en text, bild eller målning i ett konstverk.(Wikipedia).

Efter två veckors arbete visas resultatet i en öppen redovisning på skolan, där vänner och andra intresserade får komma och titta. Flera av eleverna, bl.a. Ylva Söderström och Beatrice Hjalmarsson har valt målningar av Bellini och Tizian från Accademian eller från någon av de venetianska kyrkorna, där den religiösa symboliken och noggranna bildbyggnaden är tacksam att arbeta med.

Cathrine Hagman utgår från en anonym mästare från Riminiskolan på 1300-talet i sin stora målning, där Kristus offer och nedtagande från korset bytts ut mot en fotomodell som kläs på av sin stab. Gruppen runt fotomodellen påminner om den sörjande Maria och hennes följeslagare.

Artiom Toma gör tre monumentala bilder, kraftfullt uppstrukna i tusch och vit färg på brunt spännpapper, där människans ansikte och händer är det centrala. Utgångspunkten för honom har varit en serie målningar av Adel el Siwi från den egyptiska paviljongen på Venedigbiennalen.

Cilla Berg visar förvanskade och bearbetade gipsavgjutningar av små vardagsföremål som hon hittat på secondhandmarknader. Hon berättar själv att Rachel Whitereads avgjutningar av tomrummet under stolar var inspirationskällan.

I skolans entré ruvar Anna Johanssons stora, svarta skulptur. Anna har använt formskum och lackfärg för att bygga upp den spindelliknande skulpturen som är en parafras på Huang Yong Pings skulptur Buddhas hand från Arsenalen i Venedig.
